SAFARI: LAKE MANYARA, TARANGIRE, SERENGETI AND NGORONGORO CRATER (5 or 6 days)
Visit the 4 most famous parks of northern Tanzania in 1 safari for a maximum chance of seeing the big 5. Lake Manyara and Tarangire national park are both famous for their elephants, but both offer such different landscapes that it’s definitely worth visiting both. Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree climbing lions, which make it worth a visit by itself. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater are home to so many species the list would be too long, but you’re likely to see buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, lions and if you’re lucky maybe even leopards and rhinoceros. SAFARI ITINERARY

We use exactly the same cars and guides for each type of safaris. You’ll visit exactly the same places and there is no difference in comfort or quality during your game drives. The choice you make below only impacts your accommodation.
For anyone who wants a good level of comfort and hygiene. You’ll sleep in spacious permanent tents or rooms, in real beds with proper bed linen. Bathrooms are private. Meals are prepared in the restaurant of your accommodation and served at comfortable tables.
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
We’ll pick you up at your accommodation in Arusha and drive about 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. You’ll have lunch in the park and spend the rest of the day game driving. Tarangire is famous for its huge amounts of elephants and baobab trees but there’s a lot more to see. We’ll bring you to your accommodation in Mto wa Mbu or Karatu, at about one hour of Tarangire National Park, in the late afternoon. Dinner will be served at the accommodation.
Accommodation: Kudu Lodge in Karatu (standard room).
Meals: lunch and dinner included. Lunch will be served in a lunchbox, dinner is freshly prepared at the accommodation.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, it’s time to hit the road. You have quite a bumpy ride ahead of you today, as you’ll have to drive through Ngorongoro conservation area before reaching the entrance of Serengeti National Park. You’ll have lunch and the rest of the afternoon is reserved for a stunning game drive through the central part of the Serengeti. You’ll witness an extraordinary nature, as well as an abundance of animals like lions, gnus, Thomson gazelles and zebras. In the evening we’ll bring you to your accommodation, where you’ll have dinner and an early sleep.
Accommodation: Acacia Central Camp inside the Serengeti (standard tent).
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch will be served in a lunchbox, breakfast and dinner are freshly prepared at the accommodation.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
The morning is dedicated to another game drive in the central part of the Serengeti, and we can plan the day keeping in mind your wishes. Our top tip: get up early to witness the Serengeti at sunrise (from your accommodation or during a short game drive), have breakfast at your accommodation and spend the rest of the morning game driving. In the afternoon, you’ll start heading back towards Ngorongoro conservation area, with the chance to stop and see more wildlife along the way. We’ll provide dinner at your accommodation again.
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp inside Ngorongoro Conservation Area (standard room).
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch will be served in a lunchbox, breakfast and dinner are freshly prepared at the accommodation.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
Another early start today! After breakfast you’ll head towards Ngorongoro crater. You’ll enter the crater over the steep path that leads down. Get ready to take in the amount of different animals you’re about to see – only giraffes and a few other species are absent, but other than that the wildlife density in this area is nothing less but impressive. You’re almost guaranteed to see large numbers of gnus (wildebeest), zebras, buffaloes and gazelles and chances are you’ll be able to spot rhinos and leopards. You’ll leave the park after lunch to drive back to Karatu or Mto wa Mbu. You’ll sleep here and dinner is served at the accommodation.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha
The last day of your safari is dedicated to Lake Manyara National Park. You’ll see many of the animals of the previous days again, such as zebra, giraffe and elephants but also countless bird species. Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree climbing lions, so keep an eye out for them! You’ll drive back to Arusha after lunch.
Accommodation: not included.
Meals: breakfast and lunch. Lunch will be served in a lunchbox, breakfast is freshly prepared at the accommodation.
6-day package
For the 6-day package, we add a whole day in the Serengeti in between day 2 and 3. Your accommodation will be the same as that of day 2.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch will be served in a lunchbox, breakfast and dinner are freshly prepared at the accommodation.
Pick-up and/or drop-off at JRO airport or in Moshi is also possible.
